T-MOBILE Alerts

Does anyone have these set up for their phone?

I am trying to figure out if I set these up if I am going to be charged $0.20 per alert that is sent to me that I have set up to send, or if it only charges the $0.20 per alert that you request on demand?

Any ideas?

I don't want to get shocked with an $800 bill at the end of the month, or since I have it set up to alert me at the end of each inning of the Cubs games, I don't want to pay $1.80 just to know what the scores are.

TIA

~~Posted via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~~i would assume they charge you in a manner that you get charged the most. I never used them as they charge. There are usually free options out there.
Have you tried yahoo or aol to get the same info free?

I get these and they are very helpful when I want to know a sports score or weather forecast. I posted about this in the Upoc thread also.

Ok...so they answered my question FINALLY on TMobile Customer Service...If you have unlimited then they are sent free a charge...

On a lighter note:

Think your cell provider is ripping you off? I do. So here's what I did the other night.
I upgraded to the $14.99 unlimited text messages from TMobile. After I confirmed that it was added, I went to UPOC and logged onto like 10 different groups that had 500+ members...WELL...I did this right before I went to sleep and then immediately shut off my wireless. When I woke up in the morning and turned my wireless back on, I had recieved 680 or so text messages from those groups. This is where the "Delete Prior" option comes in real handy.
Anyways, I think I will do this like every 2 weeks or something when I am bored or have had a really bad day and felt like someone ripped me off. I don't think its that bad. I am just merely taking advantage of the situation. I have also been known to wait till after my unlimited nights and weekends kick in, and just dial a random number (like the dial in numbers where you can listen to talk radio or whatnot) and just leave my phone connected all night long from about 10pm until around 6am when I wake up.

So does or has anyone else ever done this, or am I just a jerk?

The first 2 times I joined Upoc, I would leave wireless on and go to bed. When I woke up the next morning I would have over 3000 messages on my BB as I was in a LOT of groups. It got so bad one time that I got a JVM 523 error and had to reset my phone to get rid of it. I learned quickly to turn off the messages thru Upoc and not my phone but some still came thru but it wasn't 3K.

You are hilarious! I'm blaming the next high cost - low minutes set of monthly plans T-Mobile comes out with on YOU!

You're definately a JERK! LOL you should have signed up earlier with TMO when they were offering the Unlimited txt pkg for $9.99 a month....you need anger management classes....silly I signed up for TMO alerts, but not before calling TMO first and speaking with a CSR and then a supervisor...9 times out of 10 whenever you call TMO you get a different flavor to your questions depending on the CSR you speak to; So I try to get verification whenever I call, I ask for Rep ID and names 2!! If I get a high bill I know who to call and cuss...LOL

dont fee bad we dont like our own csr half the time either lol the are idiots who couldnt think their own way out of a walless room. Most are really good dont get me worng but there are a few total morons and it seems those are the only ones you ever talk to lol.. trust me i talk to them all day and hear them talking.. but iots like any other business.. you have the people willing to learn their jobs and the people to lazy to do anything that just want a buck... but if it makes you feel anybetter my friend has cingular and hates calling so i called there tech department for her once and the first guy said hold on let me get a manager and put me on hold and 5 minutes later a manager answered.. i didnt even ask for one.. i asked a simple question about text messaging.. then the manager said wrong dept and without asking me to hold transferd me to another ccr.. finally after being onhold with that one for about 10 minutes he came back and told me tech support was closed.. all i wanted to know is if my friend had text on her plan cause she was not able to send or receive lol

Lol. You guys must need a lot of voice. I put my hubby and I on the blackberry mail and minutes. Has unlimited text. Would have never considered a bb without unlimited text.

well. people think its funny, but (especially T-mob) satellite doesn't have a vast amount of capability, so those actions make others drop calls often,

is there anyway to send upoc msgs as emails from a BB without getting charged for sms. I noticed you could receive as email but i didnt see an email option for sending.
