T-Mobile 611 on wifi

Is anybody having trouble calling 611 while on wifi UMA? When I call 611 while connected to wifi i get the T-mobile prepaid customer service line. I have to disconnect from wifi to get regular customer service. I don't have the unlimited hotspot calling plan.
 
That sounds very odd. I just happened to make a UMA call to 611 without a problem. BTW, I dont have the 20 ult plan. min just get deducted from plan when on wifi. have you tried re registering your service books, or is it the register routing table bit. I forget which, but I would try both.
 
I just resent my service books. Can't check it out until I get home. Just seemed weird that it works fine on EDGE but calls a different cs on UMA

T-mobile tech stated it is a routing issue. They said that I'm getting routed to a prepaid tower through UMA and there's no fix. Guess I'll just have to turn off wifi to call them or dial the 800 number.
 
I cant believe that. Why? because how is that most of the other users are able to call Tmo without having to go though that hassle. If you really wanted to do something about it, complain. My experience with Tmo is that they only can take care of SW issues. since its routing, that a SW issue. So they need to fix the phone with some support, and not just give you a had job.
 
do you still get this problem. i dont think its your phone i think its t-mobile's routing system, when i'm at work calling for a prpaid customer i get transferred to postpaid care instead of prepaid. it's all the new call centers
 
No it doesn't happen anymore. I guess I called 611 (not on wifi) enough they finally fixed it. It was weird every wifi connection I used it was the same. Even at a T-mobile retail store.
