I recently ported my number to T-Mobile and purchased a blackberry pearl. I was mainly interested in this phone because of its PIM functionality, and didn't care about the BB Data Plan (for that guy who is going to flame me for getting a BB without getting data); the pearl does everything I need without a data plan.
Without my knowledge, the reseller added the 19.99 BlackBerry Data plan to my service, which I just cancelled. While I had the service, however, I was able to access T-Zones to view and update account information and get to all the other T-Mobile content, now that I don't have the data plan, I can't seem to access this content (I generally get a timeout error, sometimes I get an error about no WAP service, and other times I have a "Data Connection Refused" error on my home screen). Is a BB Data plan required to view T-Zones?
I also signed up for T-MobileWeb because it offers the simpler service I want. I'm unsure, however, if I can use this with the 8100. Can this service be used with the Pearl? I have the browser app, and the t-zones app, shouldn't I be able to connect to WAP content? If not, that's fine, I just want to cancel the service sooner than later.
Sorry for any naivety, I'm a T-Mobile and BlackBerry newb.
