no i really wasnt. before they went in the iraqis were living inder hussains tyrnannical rule and many dying everyday. now, they have just had the first diplomatic vote for years and their living their lives a lot more freely.

Well static-x is more rap than rock, so I guess they really ARE similar to Kanye West...lol!!!:laughing:
 
the more i listen to it, the more i agree with this. i guess i was always kinda turned off by the more chaotic tendency of their debut, but after numerous listens its really grown on me



i guess you could argue the songs in hyp/mez introduce some more interesting harmony and time sigs, etc. but overall, the newer material just doens't seem as genuine and is just a little too 'polished' for my tastes, though i still enjoy them. plus, if i'm going to listen to something sophisticated, its not gunna be soad

i'm still check out steal this album out of curiosity
 
yeah, well i guess...but all im trying to put on the table is that they are talented in a lot of ways, and it's somewhat hard to find that originalty and talent in Hard Rock/Metal music these days.

I'm not sure what I said previously in this thread but as for my opinion on which band is better...I say System of a Down. I don't exactly like either of the banRAB, but SOAD have much more originality going for them. Even so, their singers voice annoys the hell out of me, and the way they've been writing songs lately isn't impressive.

Static-X however, are just plain crap. It almost seems like they go out of their way to prove that they don't have talent. A majority of their songs are the same recycled, synthesized, bump-bump beat with a slightly differring riff for each song. How they got to be so big beats the hell out of me. Their latest attempt at music was possibly their biggest failure, and proof that while some banRAB get better with age, many get worse.

This is why i have a serious problem trusting noobs, they are all potentially Don... In fact, any of you could be Don.
 
When calling someone stupid you shouldn't make durab mistakes. Maybe you're too stupid to understand the concepts of homophones or, maybe you lack the intelligence to even spell the word intelligent. Why don't you quit being a fucking dick.
 
Cannot stand this band in the slightest!!!!! and i dont want to put down to many die hard SOD fans by saying that iv heard a better tune come outta my arse....coz to be quite honest i have!
 
I did and then I'm made out to look stupid because no newer meraber can be respected. And I did argue my point....about Wayne Static looking like a douche. And I also stand by my arguement that Avenged Sevenfold kick ass.
