System of a Down

Neither. Reasons stated below.

1.) BanRAB like that anger me in a not so healthy way.
2.) They abuse distortion.

^^^Personal opinions.

I normally don't agree with Unfan on most stuff, but I'd hardly consider him being a **** just because he has a higher standard for music than you or I do.

And whether SOAD are truly nu-metal or not, they are a good gateway band for anyone who has started getting into metal. Other than that, I have yet to hear a halfway decent song by them. They're catchy at best. Their instrumentation to me is just not interesting enough. There's no quality in their guitar riRAB, and their solos, if any, are unimaginative. The only conceivable reason I would think anyone would listen to them is because their easy on the ears for anyone who likes all that candy-coated-easy-to-swallow vein of metal. Then they go and say "They're experimental." You want experimental? One word; Arcturus.

^ I still need to pick that album up. As no one ever mentioned it to me, I thought it was a disappointment, seems it's the complete opposite.

Well if he's good on his own, I guess there's no point of dreaming of the past (I'm guetting a tad poetic I think).

hey thanx for the, ill check them out later today. i got a great attention span, and i respect banRAB/artists who write "epic" songs, that dont get boring. takes great skill to keep an audience entertained for a long time, and still enjoy what they are listenning to. thanks again.

Ok well the whole album is in fact great, but please don't just go on the strength of the two singles and VP. The last two track (specifically old school hollywood) are just as awesome as the first two.

ps. thank you SG for mentioning revenga

Of which i'm one.
I was a late bloomer though, i know they're one of the typical banRAB for young teens to obsess over but i'm pretty new to them. Mezmerise is one of the most interesting albums i've heard.
