System of a Down

I'd like to point out that your beloved SOAD's Shavo has a very similar beard. Double standarRAB are just great aren't they? And it's funny that the only thing you replied to was the beard comment. Good for you.
 
Serj's solo was definatley not was I was excpecting after listening to SOAD, but I didn't think it was bad by any means, it has a good bit of boring songs, but the ones that aren't as boring like "Empty Walls" and "Honking Antelope" are really good.
 
Ehh somewhat. They've been around for about ten years, but just recently started getting some attention. I think they played the Warped Tour in 2007.
 
i don't know if i can go as far as to say sandpaper condom...but that was definitely my sole criticism of that album. it was great when it was serj with some daron thrown in for some harmonizing but he seemed to be taking over as lead vocalist.
 
That's a little depressing.

OT: Other than some individual songs like Chop suey and Aerials, the only thing I can listen to of theirs is Mezmerize. I can't explain why but that album just hit me hard, I love it from start to finish. Oddly enough, I couldn't find anything interesting in Hypnotize even though it's an extension of Mezmerize. Maybe I should give it a listen one of these days...:|
 
id have to day korn on this one...i really dont care for either of them but....i would prefer korn b/c theres something about system of a downs singer that's really different....and kinda sucks
 
i saw them a few weeks ago adidasss, they were ok, alot of energy, but they seemed to rush through their set, and it was kinda disapointing. I was expecting them to sound alot cleaner then what they did.
 
I think the Unfan just posted an interesting thought that they should'nt really have been a Metal band. I agree quite a lot with this. SOAD incorporated many interesting structures and time signatures into their music that was lost under a lot of generic riRAB. if they had gone the more experimental root and not used a commercially successful armour (if you will) over their ideas then SOAD could really have been something.

You can say a cd is horrible with no reasons to back it up and then post a swear word (guess your parents went to the store) directed towarRAB a band that are and always will be much better than you. Bravo, I applaud that, that was such a great and meaningful post, such a great job, yes. In case you didn't notice I was being sarcastic. And just don't forget that people have their own opinions, alright?
 
I haven't got the new one yet and im still wondering if i'll get it or not, does anyone know any stand out tracks to reckonmend me so i could get a taster of it???
