System of a Down

I heard it on a local radio station, but forgot what it sounded like. Thanks for refreshing my memory. That songs awesome... I love their style and cant wait till their next cd.

If System of a Down ever wish to get back on my good side then they need to keep Daron as far away from a microphone as possible without him falling off the stage. I was really enjoying them in for a few years after Toxicity came out but then Hypnotize and Mesmerize came out and I just couldn't listen to them with Daron singing ever other bloody song. I don't mean to belittle the man, I think he's an incredibly competent guitar player, but his vocals sound like someone is raping my ear canal with a sandpaper condom.

And you call me narrow minded.

Given that a lot of Nu Metal just plain sucks, but dismissing a whole genre is something else, you're doing a "this genre is better than that genre" game, i have played that game myself and it didn't do me any good whatsoever, don't make the same mistake... I don't really consider Rage nu metal either even if they did strongly influence the genre.... I wouldn't compare their lyrics to SOARAB in any way, RATM's lyrics are a lot more planned out and meaningful.... And of course RATM are ridiculously better musicians.

If you disagree thats fine, but dont start some big rant about how i'm wrong and you're right, whats the point??.... I also think many of the banRAB you like suck major ass, i only choose not to be abrasive about it.

Thanks, I WILL have an awesome time, i plan to seek my panoramic camera, like I did at the Mudvayne club tour show. At the Mudvayne show i got the most incredible close pictures, hope i can get some good ones of System. :band:

They never said drafting. They said "sending" and if you paid attention to politics and US actions during the war, the recruiters are always sent to the poorest cities in America first. Here in the suburbs of Detroit(near Pontiac), we have recruiters from every branch of the military at our lunches...yet down the street, in a richer part of town(Bloomfield Hills) there are no recruiters in sight. The poor are, indeed, the ones being sent over. They have less to lose.

I've always enjoyed their music. I do find I don't really seek it out though, just enjoy it when it comes along. Plus the never really had a great album, above average to very good consistently but never that end to end classic.

I would agree with the sentiment that there is a surprisingly small contingent of SOAD fans here.

And I'm about half and half with each band. But I find Static-X more original/cooler (the lead singer has a cool beard and hair). And SOAD went into an exponiental decay after their Self-titled

Hmm he musn't have seen the headlines today: "Tony Blair had resolved to send British troops into action alongside US forces eight months before the Iraq War began, despite a clear warning from the Foreign Office that the conflict could be illegal." And it's Hussein.

I think Toxicity is their worst album (unless you count Steal This Album!, which didn't really seem like one). I don't know if you've checked out their album Hypnotize, but I suggest it, it's the height of their creativity IMO.
