Syndicated "South Park" Cuts Thread

Why is this topic back? Because the 2004 episodes, or the first half of them, will make their syndication debut tonight, starting with "Good Times With Weapons"! I don't know what you could cut from that, aside from the fact that you can see a little of Cartman's "gizmo" as he walked across the stage.

The usual bleeps so far, but I find it amusing that they censor "d*ckhole" as "d*ck[bleep]".

(man, it's awkward trying to be clear about these edits on a family-friendly board)

Ah, the first major edit: they cut right when the dogs started urinating/pooping on Butters.

Quite an improvement, really.

And the second edit: a blur on Cartman.

Tonight "Awesome-O" premiered. No cuts as far as I could tell, except the beginning that said "The return of Lemmiwinks will not be seen tonight" is not there. Was that cut off from all future Comedy Central airings as well?

The end of "Awsome-O" got cut (or maybe just my local station's airing of it)---the part where the Army guy tells Cartman "you really are a little f*g" (or something like that) and Cartman responding "lame". Given I've seen gay slurs air intact in other episodes, guessing the bit got cut to make room for another 10 seconds' of commercials...

If posting about SP edits over here is bothering you, move this over to rec.arts.animation (Which has been DEAD for the past three months). I believe that South Park also has its own Usenet group.

Next up to bat: Goobacks From The Future on Monday, Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset on Tuesday. These will be the most interesting to see as far as edits go; there's a plot-important scene in each that makes me wonder how they survived.

Wow. That WILL be interesting.

Aside from those two big scenes... It'll be pretty easy to cut out Paris Hilton's "coughing", so we'll see about that. They have shown semen before, in "The Simpsons Already Did It", but it was in a completely nonsexual context. My guess is it'll be gone.

Well, it has begun. There was an introductory scene right before the current commercial break. I've only seen the uncut version once, so I'm not sure how long it used to be, but it looks like they cut to a reaction shot from the "Goobacks" as long as possible during the Rednecks' dialogue about their plan to get gay. There were half-second shots of them starting to make out.

Now let's see... Hmm. Did that pile used to be... moving a bit more? And there were certainly no closeups in this version.

Apparently in the episode "Red Hot Catholic Love", crapping out of your mouth is not okay by the censors.

When someone crapped out of their mouth in that ep., they covered it with an advisory "The part where (insert name) craps out of his mouth has been censored for your own protection."

That cut was annoying, considering it was one of the good jokes of that episode.
