Synching photos to ipod nano (5th gen)?

music and games synch no problem but when i try to put photos onto ipod from my laptop, it says synch cannot be completed. Also shows an error message (-50). I'm using Vista. Would be grateful for any help.
i dont think i'm out of space but i'll check again. thanks.
