synch 2 outlooks- update only one?

I would like to synch my home and work Outlook. However, I only want to download info from my work outlook, and not upload anything. My PDA is mostly for personal use, but it would be nice to keep track of my work schedule on it.

I have searched a bit with no luck. Can this be done?

Go to the hotsync icon in your system tray on your work computer. Choose "custom" and then set all of the conduits (except backup) to Desktop overwrites handheld". This will force information from your work Outlook to the handheld and will not download any changes that were made on the handheld since the last sync.

At home - you tell it to sync - or better yet - have the Handheld overwrites Desktop and you'll always have a duplicate of what's on your work PC.

I'm thinking that if the work computer overwrites the Palm, you'd lose whatever was entered on the Palm. Other than that, what Mooseman says makes sense. There needs to be an option that allows you to only add from the desktop without overwriting everything on the handheld. I could be wrong, but I don't think it works that way when desktop overwrites.

If all you want is the calendar off of Work - set the conduit to sync for the Calendar (changes on the Handheld will then be reflected on both devices) and then set all other conduits to "do nothing".

Calendar information will be the only thing exchanged to the Work computer.....

Leave the home conduits "syncing" and you are probably set.

EDIT: My first post was pre-caffeine for the day. :D ;)

Thanks
I found all the conduit settings, but forgot the cable of course so I didn't get to try it out.

I would like to get a copy of my work schedule on the handheld, and synch my home computer with my personal info. If the home compter has the work schedule on it or not- doesn't matter to me.

If I set the conduit on the work computer to overwrite handheld --by "overwrite", does that replace the whole calendar, or just add to and update items from the work schedule?
