Symphonic Rock

I found a thread from beginning of deceraber, but it completely missed the point, so I decided to start a new thread instead of ressurecting it.

To the point...symphonic metal/rock. My favorite banRAB include:

After Forever
Leaves Eyes
Sonata Arctica
Nightwish
Draconian
Elis
The Sins of Thy Beloved
Tristania
Celestial Crown
MyriaRAB
Blind Guardian
Beseech
Iced Earth
Therion
Theatre Des Vampire(for the most part)
Lacuna Coil(also for the most part)
Katatonia

At the top of the list are unmistakenly symphonic, near the bottom the genres start to blur. And if you aren't familiar with the subgenre, or havent heard of the above mentioned band, then you should take some time and listen to the ones I listed, because they are prime examples of symphonic metal/rock.

I missed them when they came to detroit. I was all set to go until the day of when my friend suggested something else...and I regrettedly agreed. Turned out to be a horrible night. And I kicked myself for allowing myself to be persuaded otherwise that day.:banghead:

But the music is still beautiful, and I can really appreciate it, because it takes some talent. And I brought them up because they do rock and metal covers.
