Sympathy For Lady Vengeance

Watched it last night. I preferred Mr Vengeance and OldBoy out the the 'Vengeance' trilogy, but this movie had by far the most difficult scene to watch.

Anyone seen the film? If you have I'm sure you know to which scene I'm referring. The video scenes.

I'm going to have to watch it again to catch all the subtleties, but wow what a great movie. A difficult film to watch but clearly a master at work in Chan-wook Park.

I love it, Chan-Wook Park is my new favorite director, he's excellent. I really love all 3 in the trilogy, all superb, but Lady Vengeance was my favorite, followed by Old Boy, followed by Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. His segment "Cut" in Three Extremes is also very good.

Loved the previous two.. but am waiting til the latest has dropped in price on Play before buying. Looking forward to seeing it though.

I've had "Joint Security Area" for a few weeks - still haven't got around to watching it!

Not seen Lady Vengeance but loooooking forward to get it soon *reminRAB herself today is payday, and play.com is but a click away*

Funnily enough I watched Oldboy again last night. The first time round the octopus, teeth and tongue bits disnt bother me, but I could barely watch, in fact, i was gagging at the octopus bit!!! maybe its coz i knew it was coming!

yeah I loved those scenes. Did you listen to the commentary where the actor, forget his name, had to do it several times because the octopus didn't squirm enough the first few times :)

But he did say it's eaten that way by lots of people in Korea anyway, so it wasn't that difficult for him.

i've used CDWOW and PLAY.COM regularly for about two years. Both have about the same delivery time. I use CDWOW mostly for non-R2 stuff, which don't take any longer to arrive.

For instance, I ordered R-point the other day and it came less than 48hrs later. Not watched it yet though.

Note, if you do want to order from CDWOW there are links you can click on that will automatically reduce ALL prices by 50p or a

I saw this film today and it took my breath away.

The scene with the videos is one of the most horrifying things I've watched in a film, I thought I was going to be sick, but at the same time as I found these scenes and the violence difficult, I ABSOLUTELY had Sympathy for Lady Vengeance and the birthday cake scene was heartbreaking, I've never had such a divided experience like that from a film Genius.

I saw Oldboy and was blow away - it's just brilliant. Also enjoyed SFLV and looking forward to the first one.
Another great SK movie that I would recommend is 'A Bittersweet Life'.

South Korean thrillers and Japanese horror films are some of the best movies being released right now.
