Ok, on my E61, In Gallery I choose Images. That folder opens up and shows thumbnails of all images in the folder. If you move to one of the images and choose Options, then go to Organise, it gives you an option to create a New Folder. Name it whatever you choose, then move your images around.
There's no option to create folder on N series devices. There is an option to create an Album, but regardless of whether your pictures are stored in an album or not, they all show up anyway.
There are some programs out there that allow you to create a "safe". Basically an encrypted folder that is password protected. Sticking them in such would prevent gallery from displaying them.
Rather than buying a safe app you can simply install pics and videos on your phone but mark them as hidden from your pc. They wont come up in your standard S60 gallery but are accessible through y-browser and other file apps. Free and secure!
u bet, i m not going to let anyone touch my phones anymore unless they are cellphone-savy like u and me. This happening after someone almost dropped my precious n93 on the floor...i was so ready to stab him in the face
LOL.......the N93 is so big you could have probably just launched it at him and knocked him out cold! Yeah, it's a sad day when a phone hits the floor. I think the worst feeling I've had was when my 8801 (when it was actually worth $) hit the floor. I was on the phone with a co-worker and didnt speak to him for a week because of it. He actually had nothing to do with the incident but I was annoyed with anything that reminded me of it.
However, it would be a great option to have. If for no other reason, than because when you install a new piece of software that has included .gif images or .jpg images for its program "skin", it also pops up in the gallery which is VERY annoying.... But since were on the subject of "hidden" files, couldnt you change the properties of a file using a phone application on the phone itself?
