Sylvia Plath (interested in her life story..)

The Paltrow film is pretty good. Really really sad, just as I imagine her life was.
I picked up a copy pretty cheaply from Play.com a few years ago. It's obviously not a particularly light film but it is good.

I have read a number of books on Sylvia Plath's life, one by Ted Hughes's sister, there is a collection of Sylvia's Journals which I also own which is fascinating, gives a real insight into her life and work.

The Bell Jar is a great read but I think that it is probably hard going if you haven't suffered from depression as it can seem terribly self indulgent and relentlessly morbid otherwise.

I can't believe it is so expensive to buy - have you tried Amazon or ebay for a R2?

Ordered the dvd (internationally at last) and am reading a book called 'the death and life of Sylvia Plath'- so compelling and really makes you sad to think of what was in her head most of her life.

The events to her death were so dramatically crucial. Awful :(
