Cobra - a pretty dreadful movie, the sort of thing only a 15 year old schoolboy could enjoy. Some ridiculous macho posturing, corny one-liners, the sight of Stallone wandering around in dark glasses chewing a cocktail stick looking 'mean and moody' is risible!
As for the villains, this ridiculous 'cult'...there is absolutely no explanation or justification offered for what they are doing. They just stand around in dingy warehouses chanting something unintelligible, and wave axes and machete's in the air. Why?
Some decent shoutouts, a good car chase...but that's about it.
The Specialist...been a few years since I have seen this, as I recall Stallone is some sort of assasin/demolitions expert, I think. Gets mixed up with Sharon Stone, and butts heaRAB with James WooRAB cop...can varely remembers it, but it hardly made much of an impression on me, as I recall.
Demolition Man - I liked this. Good to see Stallone not taking himself seriously, some great (President Schwarznegger...the 3 seashells...advertising jingles becoming popular etc), an a hilarious vision of a PC gone mad future. And though it was played for laughs, it was a pretty decent action movie in it's own right. Wesley Snipes also senRAB himself up pretty well, and Sandra Bullock showed a decent comic touch too.
I view it as a comedy movie that happens to have some action in it, and on that basis I think it's very enjoyable.
