sycamore trees..are they nice trees to have in your garden?

They are self seeding nightmares with huge leaves that clog up gutters and the like in autumn.
 
it all depends on the size of your garden, trees need a lot of space, don't plant near walls or your house
 
Personally I look on them as the 'weeds' of the tree world. Very hardy and easy to grow, but a Maple is a much nicer tree, with great colour in the fall. And the Sycamore drops those 'airplane' seeds which can be a darned nuisance. And they do take up a lot of space.

So personally this isn't a tree I'd be rushing out to plant.
