Hello.

First of all I have searched the forum , but didn't quite got the answer to this ... so, maybe I can find out the answer ... how do you actually remove the cpu from the pcb on the new sx1 model ...
I know it's a tricky thing, however, I have blocked my phone and I am ready to try anything , even if this will render it useless )

Thanks in advance, hope I am not asking again for something already answered.

Iuly.

Yes I do, just remove, but slowly. if you can, it's no need reball.
just remove it, testpoint than resolder it.

Thanks for the answers.

So, just as I thought, the chip is not just inserted in "a socket" on the motherboard, but it is actually "welded" to it.
I have tried to pull it out but it wasn't coming out, that's when I decided to ask the question.

So to get this done, in the house, (no special tools) I guess there isn't much I can use.

Thanks,
Iuly

No, U can not do it without Hot Air desoldering station, and Solder pasta.
The SX1 CPU is a little hard work to desolder, U need some advanced hardware skills, otherwise U will broke the PCB.
