Sword tail fish got it's tail bitten off?

I noticed strange behavior with my orange sword tail male, but when I looked closer, I realized that it's missing half of it's tail. Is there anything I can do? Is it going to die because of that?

It will probably grow back if you keep the tank water nice and clean (25% water changes every 3 days until it heals). You way aso want to add some melafix to the tank.
