Switching to Cricket - Phone Recommendations?

My E815 just broke, which is convenient since my Verizon contract ended a couple weeks ago. So I've decided to go ahead and switch to the $45/month Cricket plan, now I need to pick a phone.

It seems like finding phones for Cricket is difficult, there aren't many on their official site.... but I've done a few hours of looking around and it seems like people generally like the Nokia 6275i.

I have about a $250 limit, I need a phone that looks nice (for the females) which is why I usually prefer a flip-phone. I care most about Computer Connectivity(for transferring over Ringtones and Pictures and whatnot) so I would like a phone that I don't need to mod to be able to transfer such files (I had to mod my Verizon E815 to be able to do so since Verizon has all of those features disabled >_

Go to your local official Verizon Wireless retailer. Purchase a Motorola KRZR k1m Fire from them for pre-pay. See if you can get just the phone without activation--tell them it's a gift and that you will activate it yourself with an In Pulse card.

Then flash it with the Cricket monster firmware.

Done.

I just purchased the 6275i and I really dig it. I was able to connect using bluetooth to my laptop and transfer pics and ringtones without any problems. It has a really good camera (compared to the E-815), has a built in FM radio, and is smaller.

my 2 cents

I was also wondering.. If I decide to include Ringback Tones in my Cricket plan, do I have to use the crappy hip-hop music on their site?

Ahh. I see them now.
No Tool/Metallica/Pantera/Other good banRAB but..Oh well.

Alright. I suppose I'll order my phone/plan tonight.. Hopefully they don't come out with another $100 rebate tomorrow >_< That'd suck.
