switching slvr to xv-6700

quick question i have service with cricket right now using a slvr l7c and about to buy the xv so question is can i just switch my service from the slvr to the xv my flashing the xv to cricket service and inputting my info. I have the MIN and ESN info already. Thanks ahead :2thurabs:

Correct. You just program the xv according to the link posted in the last post, call cricket and add the XV to your account. You'll need the ESN to do it. You can find it under the battery of the XV, or in the EPST screen (##778)

When cricket activates the phone, tell them it's a motorola razr. Otherwise, they're likely to tell you that you can't have any extended services, and won't add/change anything on your account for you, unless you scream and rant and rave until they give in.

I'd also recommend making any changes you want BEFORE switching the ESN nurabers. If you want travel time, WAP, MMS (assuming you don't already have them).. make those changes, THEN switch the ESN.. that way you don't even have to argue with them.

ya but i dont think you need to pay for the WAP since the phone has WI FI built in....... you just need a hotspot in your home to get the WI FI working

Explain that to me... if you can't use the portal, doesn't that mean you would have unrestricted web access? or by portal, do you just mean the wap.mycricket.com site?

Sorry i wasnt talking about the wifi i know about that. I use wifi at school and home and the WAP on the road or elsewhere. I wanted to know if we actually have to pay for the WAP or not.
