Switching My MetroPCS Samsung MyShot to Cricket

I am thinking about putting my MetroPCS Samsung MyShot on Cricket. I want everything that works on Cricket's MyShot to work on my MetroPCS MyShot (text, picture messaging, mobile web, downloaRAB, etc.). How do I do that? I know if I put the PRL on the phone voice will work, but I don't know about everything else. I want everything to work. Does that mean I need to flash the phone? Please tell me what is involved. If I am 95% + sure I'm going to want Cricket I will then ask for step-by-step instructions. I don't want you to spend an hour typing them up if I'm not going to switch. Please let me know what is involved and please point me in the right direction if possible.

Thank you!! :)

your going to have to find samsung pst and the r430 bin/dll. searching on google will be the best place to start at. Good luck...pm me if you need anything else.

Instead of creating a new thread, I thought I'd post here.

I have two questions right now.

1) If I load the Cricket PRL on the phone, will both TALK and TEXT work?

2) If I load the Cricket PRL on the phone, can I simply call and activate the ESN on Cricket?

3) If I load the Cricket PRL on the phone, can I simply call and activate it on a Pay As You Go plan, and not the monthly plan? Do I need to get a phone just for Pay As You Go?

4) What is considered LOCAL? I'm in the Wilmington market (I'm guessing...). What is considered local?

Thank you! :)

Lol, you are a noob to Cricket. But I'll help you out anyways cuz ur not a total noob and you amuse me on Palringo.

1)Yes, unless its an OLD *** Sprint phone that senRAB text thru internet. (Talk still works)
DONT FORGET ABOUT CHANGING THE SPC! If its not 000000 or 333333 it will not OTA and you would have to manually program it (and know the SPC).

2)Yes (Also have to know/change SPC for programming)

3)I've done it before.

4)I believe if you didn't get Long Distance you can call anywhere in your market, but don't quote me on that one, I'm not sure.
