Wow, is really all i can say, what an amazing film, bought it the other day along with Rec and Frontiere and this is the best of the bunch

when i begun watching it i thought, fun slasher horror with gore but within 10 minutes i was hooked, good syling, suspense, shock, brilliant story and a limited but good use of gore and blood.

Best film i've seen this year, if you ever have a chance of picking this film up (play.com

Haute Tension is one of my favourites out of France, excellent film and I liked the ending, quite a few thought it was a let down. I like REC too, but Frontier(s) I was not keen on.

I recommend the book Intensity by Dean Koontz, the start of the book is quite like Haute Tension.

I'll look out for that book, are there any good french/european horrors i should look out for?

I thought the ending was amazing, a real change of pace and quite a shocker aswell, it fits the film really well and propelled it above normal slasher movies imo:)

It's also shot incredibly well and the acting is excellent, unlike a lot of slasher films. :)

Inside, and Martyrs are two that are a must see.

Love Switchblade Romance , love the Muse track in there.

I am gonna watch Inside and Martyrs this weekend. Downloaded them this week . I like the look of Martyrs more , which do you think is better?

I bought this the other day too (HMV for a fiver), was really quite impressed by it. A film hasn't had me this "tense" for quite a while.

The ending was good, but i didn't really get how she could have been chasing herself in that truck near the end, and she clearly has injuries from crashing the car but the truck is undamaged. Also, who did the Gas Station guy wink at? And where did the actual truck come from as she was in bed masturbating as it pulled up? The only bit that that made sense in terms of the twist was the bit where she kills the mother and she asks Marie "why?" as she's dying.

Good film though, and definitely one of the better horror films of recent years. Just goes to show that if you want a good horror film you're better off getting away from the US offerings.

Saw Martyrs yesterday , f***ing brilliant. Loved it:D

Watched Inside tonight , f***ing good.

Both these films , along with Switchblade Romance , make for an unforgettable French Horror trilogy. :D:D:D

Just ordered Martyrs from play.com but couldnt find inside so gonna check local dvd shop where they might have it and if not she'll order it in for me.:)

whats the betting the Americans make a hash of a Martyrs remake like they did when they remade rec (quarantine):D:D

If you can't understand French then you may want to go for the Region 1 edition. The French DVD I got didn't have English subtitles on.

Oh, so If I bought say, a Russian dvd and it didn't have English subtitles, I couldn't add it to that, it has to be something you download?
