Had this pointed out to me today..
It's on my 01 900 SSie
Anyone else come across this? If your stuck, there are cracks on both sides of the lower shock mounting in the alloy swing arm.
Soz if you're reading, is it safely repairable?
The fault I believe was doing about 2 500km two up on average roads over 7 days, about 3 years ago. I had intentions of adjusting the rear spring pre load but with no tools, experience and more pressing issues, it didn't happen.
There are signs of the shock bottoming out on the bump stop, so that's not good.
If it makes some more people check theirs it was worth posting.
