Swing arm on my SSie

Had this pointed out to me today..

It's on my 01 900 SSie

Anyone else come across this? If your stuck, there are cracks on both sides of the lower shock mounting in the alloy swing arm.

Soz if you're reading, is it safely repairable?

The fault I believe was doing about 2 500km two up on average roads over 7 days, about 3 years ago. I had intentions of adjusting the rear spring pre load but with no tools, experience and more pressing issues, it didn't happen.

There are signs of the shock bottoming out on the bump stop, so that's not good.

If it makes some more people check theirs it was worth posting.

Mate I'm sorry, I've done the sums.. (seriously I have)

There is no way I can afford that.. I've been trying to save to replace my 87 hilux which dies on me every second week.. and I need to hold the radio volume knob to get any noise out of the radio..

But I do hope you find a good home for it soon... $ 22 000 is a pretty hot price, thought it would sell for more than that.

Thanks Sheik, I'll check mine when I pull the motor, my friend that did some work on it last fall said that I definitely need new swing arm bushings because it had a huge amount of play.
