Ok so ENT said its acid reflux, Im not convinced!
Dentist said the swelling on the left side of my throat(inside where tonsils were) could be allergies, never really had allergies before so does anyone else have swelling in thier throat caused by allergies?
Cant really think of anything that I could be allergic to, have two dogs but then ive owned over 30 dogs in my life and never had a reaction to any of them, another thing is my throat doesnt really hurt when I get up in the morning so it cant be anything thats affecting me during sleep'
Any idea's anyone.
Thanks.

Your ENT could very well be correct. There is a form of reflux called LPR that causes throat symptoms such as swelling. You can find more on the acid reflux board. Many times, this is called "silent" reflux because you don't necessarily have any of the "typical" symptoms such as heartburn. LPR also typically has worse symptoms during the daytime. You can begin addressing this through diet and lifestyle changes. Medication is also available as well.

You can get allergies at any time in your life. Do you have any other allergic type symptoms? If so, might be worth visiting an allergist.

Hi thanks for replying, the only thing I know of that Im allergic to is metal, do get rashes if I wear anything that isnt gold.

Dr. Oz said acid reflux can affect the vocal chorRAB so why not other things around there? Could also be the esophagus might need stretched?

If you want a second opinion to what your ENT diagnosed, you should consider seeing a good Gastroenterologist who treats LPR.
