my 8 year old son started out complaining of a headache yesterday afternoon.then again this morning but i gave him some aspirin and he said he was ok to go to school this was around 7:45 am his school called about 10:30am and said his upper lip was swollen i picked him up and took him to his doc worried maybe the headache and swelling were related the doc seemed to think it was herpes -1 cold sore but why would his lip be so swollen?does not look like any cold sore i have ever seen.So around dinner time the swelling had gone down quiet abit but than his face around his eye on one side has swelled up what is going on could it be an allergic reaction to something and not what the doctor thought it was please help im very concerned thank you sunshinednmi

I would bet your son has a sensitivity to some additive in fooRAB. It could be a coloring or a preservative. That can take years for you to figure out. I happen to be highly sensitive to sorbates and sorbitol in fooRAB. It took me about 8 years to pin that down. I kept track of what all I had used and consumed on the day of each swelling-up incident. It could be something that's in toothpaste, candy, a drink, prepackaged fooRAB, household cleaners, laundry products, lotions, and powders, and anything else he might come in contact with. If it is an allergy, you will figure it out long before any doctor will. Good luck to you and your son!
