Swelling,getting frustuarted!

Hey supporters, i am wondering if this can be related to Sciatic or some nerve stuff. I have swelling in my outside ankle and my family has noticed it for a while but i didn't want to bring it up as it seems one thing after another but anyhow it seems to be getting worse as i get worse like if i am in more pain from being on my feet ect. Now ititself is not painful but gets very swollen. Like i had a long week appts. was on my feet alot more than ususal due to pain and and i was hurting real bad yesterday and noticed that it was really awollen and hubby was like oh man, so can this be sciatic or something else possibly?

I dont know if it be swollen could be sciatica related, but could you have hurt your ankle in all those falls you've taken? Maybe you had twisted it or hurt it slightly and walking on it might be aggravating it more? Just a suggestion.
 
baybreeze, i was thinking that but it's not painful or paiful to touch very odd. My also another fator is when it's like this or almost always even if it's not swollen it's very cold! My son told me one night that is felt like my one foot was sitting on a heater and the other one had been stuck in the snow lol. I just ran across this as a possibility:Abnormal buildup of fluid in the ankles, feet, and legs is called peripheral edema, but how would i know this? There is a hanful of causes so who knows!

I dont know if you saw my post a couple of weeks back but I was having similar symptoms. My doctor ran a bunch of tests and we found out that my thyroid meRAB needed adjusting and I had been prescribed Mobic an N-said and was told to stop that and not to take any more n-saiRAB. So I still don't really know exactly what caused it but I do know when my thyroid is out of whack my feet and hanRAB are unbelievably cold. And that I took naprosyn and had mild swelling before. Mine started in the right foot and then a few days later it went to the left foot and swelled almost to my calf. I am just glad that is over. Scared me half to death.
 
deena, i have had that checked already about a month ago but it's more like a swelling right next to my ankle joint a little tender but just in that area so not sure! I will keep you posted, and the cold is only after have been on my feet alot mostly and i usually have the back and leg pain also!
