sweet 7500 mile valve change

i just replaced the belts on my 1098r, it has only 4500kms. we also did the valve clearances and all were in spec, but 2 were a bit close so we adjusted them a bit

Tis true. I have three dealers in my area, sorta. One I won't let touch my bike because they have horrible customer service, the other is a mile from my house and has great service, but want 1k, and the other is over an hour away and has great service but not likely to be much cheaper or enough to warrant an hour drive.

The reality is it takes much longer to access the valves than to adjust them, so that if you offered your dealer/mechanic a little extra to set them up exactly could be $$ well spent.
Mind you, I did this at the 24,000 km service, yet when I did them myself at 36,000 (off warranty) I changed 13 out of 16 shims. Made it run better though.
I'll find out at 48,000 (soon) how well they've stayed set.
