Swedish Wallander Series 2

I guess Leo knew the same way I know the UK police use Heckler and Koch MP5 sub machine guns, it's just common knowledge.
Isabelle/Theresa wanted rid of nutbar brother and knew he was a nutbar.
Leo thought Pontus was Isabelle's boyfriend and knew he was a copper, maybe he thought she'd stolen his gun and shot Patrik.
Wallander did say something about 'you can't trust your own' IIRC assuming it was a copper who'd shot Patrik.
I'm guessing Sig Sauer's aren't popular among the criminal community.

Kurt didn't know there was any connection between Isabelle and Patrik until after he'd spoken to Leo.

I think that's it anyway, not sure why so many are raving about Wallander on here, it was all far too neat and inter-connected last night for my liking.
I've only watched 3 so I'll continue watching see if I 'get it'.

Oh any comments on the Doc involving the author, not that I was really paying attention.

Yeah, that scene was quite funny with Jussi the hound clearly needing to go outside! Overall, I though this episode was OK but not as much tension as there was in the Skytten/The Sniper episode.

Indeed, Paper Doll. Kurt was sporting the unshaven down and out look again this week. The only thing needed to complete the vagrant image would have been a bottle of Absolut vodka in a paper bag!

the only series 2 DVRAB with English subs are Wallander 14, 15, 16 and 17.
when 18 arrived without the advertised English I contacted Yellow Bird who said it was probably due to an English release being due. that turned out to be the BBC buying the series.

it's getting average audiences of nearly 400,000 so surely a UK DVD would be justified.

Was it Linda or was it Katarina? I wasn't sure:confused:

Definitely Linda, I just checked on iplayer:), a final homage to Johanna Salstrom:cry:.......nice touch:)

If a trainee policewoman at another station had down what Isabelle had done Kurt would have thrown the book at her but because she was one of his team he let her get away with it. This sort of thing happens in every cop show ever made.

If I&P aren't in next week's episode maybe Svartman, the real hero of the show will have more to do :)

I am really enjoying how they are developing Svartman's character this series. He is trying to be a good cop, he doesn't always get it right but he learns and does some good detective work.

Loved him yomping through the countryside in this episode. How happy was he to get away from it all.

I love Nyberg too. Glad his script has gone past 'Hey' this series. The dummy joke had me chuckling.

I can't settle with Pontus and Isabelle, maybe as time goes by they will grow on me.

What I like about this programme is that not every line has to move the plot along. There are some real conversations. When Wallander went to visit the 'leak' and his wife and their dog got excited. He was commenting that it could smell his dog and took time to play with it. Just nice touches like that.

Another great episode (don't they make it look effortless?). I really liked S1, but the stories this series are more engrossing. Is it true that Krister Henriksson doesn't want to do a third series? Damn shame, if so.
