sw44 multiswitch problem

I have a 6100, 3100, and 2700 hooked up through the heat sink multiswitch sw44 with the inserter on output 1. I just added a 6000 to the multiswitch and all receivers are fine except occationally the 6100 loses the info in the guide display. When I hit guide, the picture is black and all stations say no info. A bar goes across the screen while it loads the guide again which sometimes takes several try's. Sometimes it wont work at all and I have to do a switch check to get it going. I dont have this problem when I take the 6000 receiver off the multiswitch. Does anyone know if this multiswitch can accept more than 1 high def receiver?

The SW44 doesn't care what's on the output side. I have a 6000 and 9200 (so that's 3 HD tuners) plus a 5800 connected to mine. So there's something else going on in your case. Can you switch the cables for the 6000 and 6100 at the SW44 and see if the problem switches to the other receiver?

tried that suggestion tonight but it did not work, same trouble happening, is this problem happening with anybody else?

When you have all your receivers plugged into the multi switch, how's your signal strength? Are all the TP over 50%?

Hello, this had happened to a friend of mine. All I did was went into the "Menu" then go into "System Setup (6)" then "Installation (1)" and then finally "Point Dish (1)". Wait until the signal is showing that it is "Locked" Once it is locked then you know you have signal and that it most likely the program guide needs to be downloaded. Exit all the screens, wait awhile and see if the guide starts to download. If that doesn't work try holding the power button down on the receiver for a few seconds and see if it works. Hope this helps.

tried all that, still no luck, oh well it hasnst happened in over 3 days so I guess I will just put up with it, thx to all who responded

To fix a guide problem, first, you need to verify if you have a good signal on satellite 91, transponder 4. If yes, then either you do a front panel reset or, if your receiver has a card, pull it out, wait for system info and then put it back in. Usually, this fixes the issue by forcing the redownload of the guide.
