As you already know, one end connects to the back of the petcock, the other end generally connects to a central tube-between the middle of the carbs usually located in the upper portion of the carb body (NOT the float bowl area). sometimes it connects to the outside of one of the carbs, but always connects to the upper section of the carb. Take a look at your service manual, it should show it in the fuel section.
