Suzuki Swift 1.5 GTX ..07 plate. Front brake problems..?

Has anyone who owns one of these vehicles had problems with the front brakes.?
On my car, they were replaced at 6,000 miles and then again at 12,000 miles.
When I say replaced, I mean discs and pads.
It is under warranty, so for them to replace the brakes just on a whim can prove costly to them.
The first time it went in for annual service.(12 months) it had done 6,000 miles and the garage changed them as if it was usual for them to do so.
The second time was 6 months later at 12,000 miles.
This time I called and asked for them to be checked as they were grating.
They were changed without question.
Nothing was said of my driving style and it is not automatic.
The usual 5 speed stick shift.
So no..I dont drive with my foot on the brake pedal.

take it it was the dealer that replaced them at service personally i would say youv been had and need to change garage. did you ask to see the pads and discs for yourself and ask too take them away for inspection elswhere. this is happening more and more often with dealers especially at arnold clark garages this happens their as the mechanics get a bonus for every set of pads and discs and other parts they sell they have a list they wright on what they have sold and hand it in at the end of the month most seem quite proud when they get a big undeserved bonus for ripping people off. it happened to me recently i normally avoid main dealers like the plague but my van had too go in for a warrenty issue it gets serviced at an independent i had informed them not too carry out any work without contact first as i didnt want it off road too long i got a phone call later on telling me that they couldnt fault the warrenty problem but i needed new pads and discs totally unrelated too fault and were only replaced 5k miles before so i told them i would inspect them myself and asked too speak too the foreman he couldnt come out workshop because he had a sore foot and they wouldnt let me into workshop! before i left the receptionist informed me it was dangerous too drive my van with the condition of the brakes on my van i drove the van over the road too a large car park and removed the wheels brake pads and discs were like new as expected cant wait until the foremans foot is better or then next time i need too recover one of their fuck ups too the garage and they forget too shut the workshop door as they will get a good piece of my mind it garages like that which stop people trusting the good ones

I suggest you ask at the dealers as it is still under guarantee. These days I hear of discs and pads lasting over 60,000 miles. One of my acquaintances has an old Micra with original brakes and has 95,000 miles on the clock.

Just checked, and I can't find any reference to any reports of premature brake wear. Either your calipers are sticking (VERY unlikely on such a new car) or there's something very wrong with your driving style - it's not by any chance an auto that you're resting your foot on the brake pedal of?
