Suzuki GS500E 2001 - Alternator problems. Please help!?

My GS500 has an electrical fault. The battery will not charge properly.
Ive brought a new battery and when charged up manually it holds about 12.7v. So battery is fine.
When the engine is started the voltage dips to about 10.5v ish, quickly recovers to about 12v.
It very slowly drains the battery at a rate of about 0.1 volts a minute. When I increase the revs the voltage doesnt change at all. I was under the impression that with a fully functioning alternator, the voltage should increase to about 14v.
Ive been down the local scrappy and fitted another regulator rectifier but no change.
The 3 phase output of the alternator is showing 25v ac between all 3 contacts. According to haynes manual it should be 75v ac.
Does anyone know why the voltage output is only a 1/3 of what it should be? Are there any solutions to the problem other than buying a new stator coil?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or comments.
