Suzuki Boulevard C50

There ain't no reserve...
According to the owners manual there are different blinks for lower fuel levels.
I dunno what those are though.

So I far get about 145 miles on the odo before the light starts blinking.

First the low fuel light will blink. Go off for a while then start blinking again. Then when lower will stay on continually. I usually set my trip metre at every fill & go by that. Much more accurate than that light.

As for buying a c50 again I probably wouldn't. It's been a while (25 years) since last riding but it seems I still like those corners. The c50 scrapes too easily but that is something that all cruisers do, so I've heard. Next I will be looking at a sports/tourer.

My theft deterrent is that I would beat the living S**t out of anyone who touches it!.

I am of Calabrian descent, and everyone in my area knows it.
I have had a few charges for assault, and locals know to leave me, my stuff, and my family alone.

Of course it helps that a few 'patched' members from my past come to visit from time to time. They are highly visible.

Of course, it is also insured, so ... whatever.

I am happy with mine and after 10,500 or so miles in 12 months I am thinking of moving up. Probably to a Harley Electra Glide Classic or a Gold Wing. I would not buy a Suzuki again. The reason for that is it is a conglomarate that makes all kinds of things. Cars, marine power plants, motorcycles and God knows what else. {I know Honda does also but Honda Corprate is much more polished and sofiticated.} Also it is a little harsh on the bumps but that is from its lack of weight. Don't get me wrong it is a nice machine. They do things that are a little weird from and engineering stand point. Its the little things, like helmet locks in funny places like under the saddlebags so they can't be used. Cut outs so you can see the water level on the radiator expansion tank that you can't see any way and must remove the cover. Owners manual that gives bogus shifting points. Just not thought out on some stuff.

Jim, I just bought a leftover '06 Blue/grey. Will pick it up in 2 weeks. Good luck and congratulations with yours.:bluethum:

Running really fast after whoever takes off on it

I almost forget to take the key out everytime I go somewhere.

Hi guys,

Just got a '06 C50 Boulevard...
It has a lightbard up front, and today while riding home, my headlight quit...
I've taken the bucket apart and went in with a test light... I have power to everything but the headlight and the spotlights...

I never got a manual with this bike, anybody have a PDF of the owners manual??

Can somebody tell em where to locate the fuses so I can see if I have a blown fuse?

Thanx' for the help in advance.....

Khile Klock

On the left side of your bike, below the locked side panel(where your tools are kept) is a chrome piece. It covers the coolant reservoir and your fuse panel.
There should be a spare 10 and 15 amp fuse in there. The main 30 amp fuse is under the seat.

There are 3 screws to be removed from this crank case cover. 1 at the middle of the top, 2, 1 at each end of the bottom.

The OEM lightbar has been a problem. If it was wired right it would be thru a 10 amp fuse marked Aux., not effecting the headlight.
Do a search on OEM light bar here and the correct wiring should come up.
It should be grounded and the bulbs changed to 4411's which last longer.

Any other problems or if more help required, just ask.
