it has plenty of spark just changed the plug good compression and i made sure it was getting fuel by spraying carb cleaner into it. it just doesnt start at all and will pop or back fire once or twice while tring to start it. i just shut it off after riding and now wont start back up while i was riding it it did seam like it was missing out but didnt think much of it help me out thanks

maybe you flooded the motor. this happens when the motor doesn't fire but fuel is forced into it. my suggestion is to leave it on leveled ground for 3 or 4 hours and then try to start it again. also check to see if your fuel line is open. let me know how it works out.

I have a feeling you might have stripped a woodruf key, throwing out t he ignition timing. Not impossible, and I doubt this is the case, but check out the fuel first. Keep way from carburetor clearners. It will never start t hat way. Either way, clean fuel and try c leaning and drying the plugs, and give the leads a spray with WD40 to repel any moisture. Spray in some ether (Easy Start) and turn the old girl over.
Best of luck..Dr Antony

If there is backfire it sounds like it is rich.
turn your ignition off.
switch off fuel supply
take out the plug
give the engine a couple of turnovers (like 30)
put plug back, in put fuel on, and try that
dont put carb cleaner into it this time

also is the plug black and sooty? or is it brown?
