(ess-yu-vee-tard) - noun - an operator of a Sport Utility Vehicle who possesses neither the skill, common sense, nor courtesy to be behind the wheel of any vehicle.
The next time you're on the road do some empirical research: keep a tally of people driving like assholes and remember how many of them are driving S.U.V.'s. I suspect you'll find an amazingly high ratio.
On a typical morning a have about half a dozen cases of road rage. Asshole drivers are everywhere, I can accept that. Regrettably, I also realize that I don't have time to yank every single one them out their vehicles and beat the piss out of them. That would be full a time job, and while it would be fantastic service to the community, it wouldn't do much to promote my career as a software engineer. What really digustipates me about this situation is the proportion of shitty drivers in S.U.V.'s. What is it with this class of vehicle that impairs people's ability to drive like a civilized human being?
Every day, I share the road with sedans, roadsters, crotch rockets, tractor trailers, pickups, station wagons, hoopties, etc, etc, ad nausea. Occasionally (once or twice a week) a non-SUV driven vehicle does something to piss me off. Instances of SUVtard offenses are one or two per mile!
In conclusion, I would like summarize this rant by inviting all of the no-signal-using, frequent-unnecessary-lane-changing, swerving, flapping-your-gums-on-your-cell-phone-ass, SUVtard pig-fuckers to drive your pieces of shit directly off the nearest bridge (preferably into shark infested water)! Additionally, the designers and marketing departments that initiated this scourge of the road should ritualistically take their own lives to recover their honor.

I was pulling out of work one day and saw an suv comming down the road and it was close so I held up to let it by.. well shit if the women behind the wheel didnt nearly come to a complete halt to go over the drain ditches in the intersection..

Normally one wouldnt think much of this out of a fear of bottoming out but the fucking SUV had a 2 FOOT CLEARANCE under it... You couldnt bottom it out if you hopped a curb..

God I swear, it's these rich people that feel since they live alone, they need to have room for 10 people. Honestly, there are about 3 reasons for having a big car.

1. Insecurities
2. Hick
3. Work (only valid reason)

I have driven alot of different things in my life. The biggest problem with SUV's is you can't see as well as you can in smaller cars. You have to be a better driver keep from pissing someone off. Most of the time, people don't care enough to look harder in there blind spots for other cars. I have driven SUV's, trucks, cars, a rig, tractors, track O's, back O's bla bla bla. I know everything drives different. Most people don't relize there not driving the same thing that they had a year ago.

If you don't belive me, ask someone what there car has under the hood. People that respond with "I don't know, all I care about is if it drives" tend to not know that you need to turn your mirrors down more to see other people. They don't care, so every one else has to pay for it.

I am not saying that people that don't know how to fix a car don't know how to set the car up safely, but there is a better chance for it.

I drive an SUV. Why? Because I have 3 kids, 2 in car/booster seats. Not many cars fit that comfortably, well, none that I can afford for sure.

Anyway, I was going to add, I know there are a lot of bad SUV drivers, but I think the WORST drivers sit in the most expensive driver seats. I've told my daughter to avoid driving anywhere near expensive vehicles. The richer you are the worse your driving ability.

I guess they think everyone is just going to clear a path because their driving a fucking Jaguar or something.

Oh dear god...

I know a guy that has alot of money. He is a millionare, and he has wrecked more cars in the last 2 months than I have owned in my life.

i really havent seen alot of these SUV-tards you speak of, maybe because i drive a jeep that is taller then them they arent assholes to me?

one thing i cannot stand about people who drive SUVs are their inability to comprehend 4wd. Up here in the north, when the snow hits, these SUV drivers pop their shit into 4wd and fly everywhere, inevidbly crashing or rear-ending people because they think their 4wd is going to stop them faster or something. you are not invinsible, end of story...

That's pretty narrow minded, Zickdot. Besides, you forgot the reason I drive an SUV:

4. As a big guy, I feel more comfortable in a vehicle that fits me. One i don't have to practically fold in half to get into, or bang my knees getting in and out.

The only problem I have with people driving SUVs is when they think they're invincible in a larger vehicle and drive like morons.
