Here in Bahrain it's so common for people in university to be married and on occasion proud parents to a baby or two (I'm speaking about the younger age group like in their very early 20s).
I've never seen it happen in schools here although there is the occasional rumour or two about young girls in the government schools here.
There was one guy though in our school. He was in the year above us and was 17 at the time it happened but since he came from the royal family it wasn't much of a surprise. I mean our King's son, Shaikh Nasser, is only about 24 and is already expecting his first child from his wife whom I believe is 17. So, like I said, no real surprises about this happening since it's a pretty common practice amongst the wealthiest power families all over the Khaleeji districts.
Where do you come from and do you know of any young parents?
