I have a surround sound that i use for my TV so obviously it works through a plug. I have been wondering whether it is possible to wire my surround sound into a car and use it as a car stereo.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

You could but, home speakers are made with a different clue that holds the surround of the speaker together that are not resistant to moister and it will just fall apart over time but if you spend the money you can still get the same affect from car speakers if you place them just right in your car I have gone to a lot of sound offs and seen some unbelievable multimedia systems that rival that of home surround systems

well if u can get the wiring done then im guessing its posibble. i hav though of the idea a few times but never tried it. it will b a lot of work if u do

Yes. First you need a power inverter that is around the correct wattage for maximum enjoyment. You will need to hook the inverter direct to the battery and ground. Second how do the speakers hook up to your TV? Via RCA ( AV) jacks? If so, real easy, plug them direct into your head unit.
