Suppose you were hiking thru the woods and found a firearm?

Would you keep it or turn it in to the police? Would it matter if it was a rifle or handgun?

Well I love watching shows like "The First 48" and I know that if I found a firearm in the woods, it could likely be a discarded murder weapon. Usually people don't just lose a gun in the woods, so it was more than likely left there on purpose.

That said, I would turn it in to the police... I wouldn't have any use for it. Although the $ from pawning it would be appreciated. But no, I'd turn it in.

Turn it in.

People don't lose guns in the woods without a good reason. A hunter wouldn't just drop his gun and not realize it. Turn it in and you might help solve a crime.

I'd call the police, you never know if the gun was used in the commission of a crime. It would be the right thing to do.
