...would have only gone 3,612 mile? Suppose an airplane travels a distance of 3,948 miles going with the wind, but would have only gone 3,612 miles flying against the wind for the same amount of time. If the speed of the wind is 24 miles per hour, what is the speed of the plane in still air (in miles per hour)?
