The Al-Qaeda leadership in Afghanistan has been decimated in the last year. They are going broke and can't function effectively.

Which Taliban are you talking about? The Pakistani Taliban (Haqqani Faction, Mehsud Faction, Mullah Fazlullah, Sufi Muhammad) etc are hated by the Pakistani public. Most of Pakistan is Sufi and the Taliban are deobandis, they don't get along.

The Quetta Shura has no interest in taking over Pakistan.

I think maybe you need to talk to more Pakistanis.

Funny you weren't calling them Muslim terrorists when the US was supporting them in Afghanistan against the Soviets. Or what about the Muslim terrorists the US is supporting in Lebanon (Fatah-al-Islam). Or how about the Muslim terrorists its supporting against Iran (Jundullah).

OR what about the biggest terrorists of them all, the Wahabbi government in Saudia Arabia, why is the US supporting them. Let's follow your logic and bomb the US, whadyya say?

refute is such a big word........can you make it simpler for us?....when describing our ideas it is easier to use words that we know you will understand yourself.....I doubt that very many people really want the war, we are there and nobody wants to lose, that's all....unless yo have a better idea of how to get out of it and insure that they will not attack you

I'm actually against the war but to play devils advocate:

Preventing the Taliban from retaking power, and oppressing the newly liberated people of Afghanistan.

September 11th, was orchestrated by Taliban within Afghanistan for us to pull out without removing the various al-qaeda elements would open the west to a similar attack again
