support in treatment asthma and use of methotrexate to wean off oral steriods?

I am 36 years old and have chronic refractory asthma which typically doesnt respond to traditional treatments. Are there any other people out there who are on methotrexate for their asthma? I am on 15mg one day a week, which just so happens to be the day that i now collapse on, get multiple bruising all over my body, strange lump formations on the back of one of my calves among many other side effects. I also have brochiectasis and obstructive sleep apnoea etc. Is there anyone else out there going through this? What do you do to cope?
