Superman Returns !

But Hulk had never been seen on the big screen before, so they had to go back and tell the Origins tale. With Superman it's different. The core cinema going audience is already familiar with the Superman films, having seen them on telly dozens of times over.

Singer isn't going to want to remake the original Superman movie, so therefore he'll be continuing where IV left off.

Now, I wonder what Richard Prior is up to these days. Hey! There's a thought - a black Superman. I'm seeing possibly one of the Wayan brothers in the title role, and then his brother could play his evil alter ego... ;)
 
From the article on Aint It Cool News, the reason why its called "Superman returns" is that he's been gone away for a while and now he feels as if the time is right to return back to Earth (that the way I read it).

Originally, the plan was to do the Death of Superman with Doomsday but that idea was dropped. Other drafts involved Brainiac, more bizarre ones included Brainiac and Lex Luthor merging to become Luthiac!

Just hope they use Williams' theme tune and can replicate the magic of the original - Donner's movie was an epic masterpiece.
 
E! Online printed a rather funny letter from "Wolverine" regarding this issue:

"Dear Superman,

I thought we were frienRAB. Or at least professional colleagues with a healthy respect of each other's powers--and boundaries.....

So, you've stolen Bryan Singer. You know at least when Mystique tries to stab me in the back she jumps up in the air first and does a couple of fancy somersaults so I have time to prepare my claws..........

Give my regarRAB to Bryan. If you ever actually meet him.

Oh and have you read what they're doing with Green Lantern - Jack Black in a 'zany' comedy romp!!!!! IMHO somebody up top @ WB h8's their job - but Office Space stylee just can't get themselves fired no matter what they do. :D
 
Read about the Green Lantern thing mind you have you ever seen the Justice League TV movie that had him in? Pretty bad. I'm also not too happy hearing the fantastic four is a comedy,worrying!
 
According to Superman-V.com, "Richard Donner and his wife Lauren Schuler-Donner are in "deep negotiations" with WB" to produce the new movie!

Also, "Christopher Reeve will be offered a role in producing this movie!! It is unknown what his exact role will be but if all things go according to plan Reeve will be involved." As well as using the same writers from X2, Singer will also be using John Ottman, who will be "editing and scoring". Just hope he still uses Williams' Superman March theme. PLEASE!
