Superman Returns Teaser Trailer...online at last!!

As some of you may have seen, there is a big screen version of Superman Returns being released in Imax cinemas which will feature 20 minutes of exclusive 3D footage.
As I understand it, the only cinema in the UK where this will be shown is at the BFI London Imax Cinema in Waterloo, London and it is being released day and date July 14th with the rest of the UK.

hmm didnt exactly make me wet myself with excitement... found it dull compared to the Batman and Spiderman movies I think this one will probably suck!

Bryan Singer dropped X3 for this?? Damn fool, he is. On the other hand, maybe he just did it for the money, which I can respect. Or maybe to screw up the DC franchise on purpose and laugh all the way to the bank. Am I over-analyzing this??

After seeing the X3 teaser and this one... I've got to say the X3 wins by a long shot.
But that doesn't mean Supes returns will suck.

I saw V for Vendetta @ the Waterloo IMAX yesterday. Although I've seen a few IMAX documentaries, it was the first time I've seen a full length real film on an IMAX screen. I was utterly blown away.

I wonder if it's too early to book tickets for Superman.

Not a particularly good trailer, but that might be good. The first 2 X-Men trailers were awful, and both movies turned out great. The Spider-Man trailers were excellent, and the movies were very disappointing. I don't think Singer will disappoint, and all the elements seem to be there, the trailer just seemed oddly disjointed, particularly how it breaks its own momentum. Both Lois and Clark look great, though, as does the overall style, and the controversial changes to the Superman costume seem less apparent when he's not posing.

I like the scene with Lex playing a bit zany, and then suddenly turns seriously menacing. Seems like a subbtle way of saying that it's still in Superman The Movie continuety, but expect a few surprises.

Lois having a kid with the X-Men's Cyclops is seriously weird, though. That's what has me most concerned, but also quite intrigued.

ITA with you.

B. Singer does do better films than trailers. Though disjointed the triailer is still very watchable (in parts at least).

And JEEPERS! Kevin Spacey looks (and acts) like Gene Hackman!

You don't tug on Superman's cape, and you don't break the Superman theme. They should have used a slow build-up with the Lois & Clark stuff, which was really nice, btw, and build to a Superman theme climax. The break was awful.

I found him surprisingly... off. I had thought he would be one of the stronger performances, but judging by the trailer, he looks the part, but it's like there's something missing. Can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the fact that it's difficult to see Luthor and not Spacey. When I first saw Superman The Movie, I was too young to have seen any other Hackman movies, and he was a magnificent Luthor, which sometimes gets lost in the praise of Chris Reeve's performances in the original movies.
