I think that might be the problem, my wife said he was great, but I've been following this film from the beginning, seen every trailer, every preview, all the production notes (except those that gave away some key aspects of the film, I avoided those) so maybe i was just expectin a little too much? He had parts where he was fantastic, especially when he notices lois is on the boat and then he starts going over his plan.
