Superman Returns #2: He hears our cry for help

I didn't find out Jason was Supes son until Lex waved the kryptonite cylinder infront of him. I mean I had had my suspicions at first but wasn't entirely sure until that moment.

I agree, that moment when Lois said, "I've done Superman", was hilarious! Kate really pulled off that line very well. I can't picture anyone else playing the role of Lois Lane except Kate Bosworth. I always thought that she would be good but after seeing her in the role, she did better than I imagined!!!

& The fact he look's like you know reeves makes it even better. He's my favorite new superman.
Why get rid of him?! I  him so much, he plays the nerdy clark kent so well too!!.
They just need to give him more action scenes this time around kicking the bad guys @$$.

Sometimes, the most obvious reasons are left untouched. It had been like that eversince the first Superman movie. It was so obvious that they kinda look the same and Superman appears everytime Clark disappears.

I do remember Lois (on the Superman movies, not the TV Shows) hinting that Clark might be Superman. Remember when she intentionally let go of herself at the Niagara Falls. She wanted Superman to save and still see Clark there.

I think my only answer to that is - it is a Superhero movie. Anything, absurd or not, can happen.

It isn't far if we don't consider us, fans, waiting for it eagerly. It's not far if we think of the shoots, pre and postproductions, etc.

RE: Sequel...

See? What did I tell you?

Movies don't bomb anymore considering the DVD Sell-thru market, foreign distribution, cable TV rights, etc. I predict more people will see SR on DVD and it will become a cult-hit mainly because of people's trepidation about the cast and whether or not they can pull this off (which we all know they can).

Also, as I said, Warner Brothers has exclusive rights to the Superman franchise which means any studio, big or small, who wants to do another Superman film -- Even with a different cast -- Would have to pay WB and DC Comics huge sums of money to the point it becomes cost prohibitive... Which is the point and why studios enter into deals with comic book companies like DC to secure intellectual rights to certain franchises.

Also, 2009, is not that far away.

Remember, SR had been in development Hell for over 10 years since this project was originally started in 1996, and has gone through various script changes, directors and casting choices as well... So, three years isn't that long a wait considering it is guaranteed unlike when SR was being developed in my opinion.

Lame title. Suggestions are much appreciated.

Carry on with the discussion. :D

I read news that the next Superman movie's slated for release 2009. That's way too long! And Singer will be back on its reins. :yay:

I watched SR again at IMAX and darn. The opening credits gave me goosebumps and had me in a nostalgic mode.
