Superman Returns #2: He hears our cry for help

I wish it was November all ready! I can't stand the wait. I so badly want to know what deleted scenes are going to be on there but I think I'll just hold off and wait for it, kind of like a surprise.

Oh well, I have all of my Superman Returns stuff to keep me company plus a Superman fanfic I'm working on.

Hope it doesn't get pushed back more. Wouldn't want to see Superman using a cane.

That would be great.

There are so many batman fans out there but also a lot of Superman fans. No one just can't get the stories right except for Brian Singer & Richard Donnor.

I would like it if Brandon had the role but at the same time I wouldn't mind another "Face of Superman."

I'm just buying SR and Donner's cut of Superman 2 on dvd on Nov. 28th :). Don't forget the Superman Returns videogame comes out next Tuesday too :D .

I feel with Smallville they ruined the essence of Clark Kent, and other iconic characters. The characterization is way too "Marvelized" for my tastes . To each their own though . I just found watching Superman Returns a breath of fresh air in the franchaise is all lol. One of my sisters who doesn't even like superheroes loved SR, and still can't stop talking about it .

Glad you liked the film. In my honest opinion, I think the film's story was kinda shallow. Don't throw tomatoes at me now. :lmao: I did enjoy the film, maybe I'm just used to a deeper plots on other movies.

Nevertheless, if I'll consider that the film was actually made with children and adult in mind, then I will say that the film's story is all right.

As for Brandon, yes, he did an amazing job portraying both characters. We can really see the difference. I actually thought that while Superman's like all macho, intimidating type; Clark is a subtle, warm-hearted individual. He's wonderful. I like Clark better. Hopefully on the next film, we'll get to see more of Clark.

Like I said, a well written, in-depth character is one that is conflicted both internally and externally. CK/SM is both of these things and has been for over 60 years.

The difference is a lot of audiences don't realize this unless the character mopes around brooding all the time which is the root cause for the confusion between dark and angst-filled and a character being complex.

I hadn't even thought of that! Probably could've gone on thinking that she had one of those immaculate conceptions or something and then maybe once Jason started showing signs of powers then it could be possible that she started to remember fragments of what happened. Just a thought.

I agree with you guys. Trying to make the SR sequel dark and angsty would ruin it. Superman isn't supposed to be that way. He stands for all that is good in the world and that's what his character embodies.
