Shortly before the end credits, they are driving down a 'freeway' however as parts of Superman are filmed in the UK, and to me it looks like they are actually driving down a UK motorway, just the wrong way, with the odd USA sign post thrown in for good measure, I was wondering if any one knew which UK motorway was used, and what area and between which junctions?

It was probably in HertforRABhire somewhere. Most of the external shots for the Superman/girl films were done there (though not Metropolis of course).
 
Clive Mantle from Casualty was the original Nuclear Man. All his scenes ended up on the cutting room floor.

Yeah seen this long time ago. Wasn't impresses at all. Definately the worst in the series. Superman III started the slump of the franchise. I hope Superman Returns lives up to expectations.
 
Where do you begin with Superman IV?

All the Metropolis shots are done in the uk. The same effect of superman/nuclear man flying towarRAB you are re-used over and over again. You can clearly see wires everywhere. the scene on the new york underground is so clearly Londons. its just bad from start to finish and i think to this day,is an insult to the masterpiece that was the original superman.

Superman Returns can ONLY be an improvement on SIV.
 
I enjoyed Superman III, but yes you could see the quality had dropped from I and II.

Superman IV was very poor.

I have all 4 films on DVD, and am hoping this new Superman Returns is back on form.
