Basically the Bugatti Veyron is the best on everything, except the time to get to 300Km/h (186mph) since the Swedish Koenigsegg beats the Italian beast by almost 2 seconds, but other than that, the results are pretty clear:

SO... if you want to go really fast, in 80% of the cases it's better to buy "Made in Italy"

While I would take a Ferrari F430 or 599GTB (maybe a 430 Scuderia) over all of the cars on the list, I just want to point out that Bugatti is not an Italian made vehicle as you intimate in your message.

The Bugatti Veyron is made in Ch

Hello sgcullen,
what you say it's actually true, unfortunatelly Bugatti ended up in the hands of Germany like also Lamborghini... infact, the latest Lamborghini are nothing comparable to the original ones like Countach and Diablo.
Anyway, i just copyed and pasted this comparison from a German web site, and there was not the Ariel Atom, great car, but remember, in most countryes is not street legal, infact it's more a race track car.
If i really have to say which one is the car that mostly impressed me, is the Koenigsegg CCX since with as "little" as $700.000 gives you a car that runs almost as fast as a $1.5million Veyron and even faster than a Ferrari Enzo... very interesting is the Swedish V8 Engine 4.7Liter SuperCharged with 806hp which, if filled up with Ethanol, blows out with 1118Hp and all of this with just a simple ECU reprogramming to use different Fuel and obtaining no emissions with amazing performance.

And ya know what? There's no amount of money in he can pay to do once, what I get paid to do for a living.

(Sorry, just making myself feel better realizing I'll never have any of those in my garage)

Whose toy box?

Hornetball...you too funny brother. But truthfully, most folks who own those exotics would be willing to pay what they paid for those exotics for the speed you HAVE experienced flying a fighter jet. When I was a kid, I used to dream about being a fighter pilot and let loose with a afterburner burst.

Now back to our topic...each speed weapon represents different elements I admire. I love the elegant and beautiful styling of an Aston Martin, the passionate pursuit of top speed champ by a small company in the Koeniseeg CCX, the respect for history and racing lineage in any ferrari and of course the badass Ford GT, and the statement Chevy took with its lightweight big bore Z06 ala Ducati 1098.

Each car represents something for the manufacturer and something more for the owner. When the time comes, the car I truly want to own is a RUF RT12. Dr. Alois Ruf took his papa's (lol) company and specialized in Porsche restoration. But through the years he improved upon what Porsche had created and made some awesome speed weapons in what appears like unique Porsche's but only better.

To me, that's passion. Fellas, passion for speed, passion to make something unique is what makes me passionate to own and admire. That's why I own a 1098...do y'all know what I mean fellas, can get an amen brother......oops...sorry I started preaching to the choir.

Nice post and info CrazySte and I am jealous of the things only Hornetball has experienced doing Mach speed in a fighter jet...a friggin fighter jet, not many men can say they've done mach speed in a jet.
