These are the only confirmed characters, nothing else is official:
Mario
The main mascot of Nintendo, Mario has been seen in both
trailers fighting and has been confirmed to be in Brawl. His Brawl attack sends
a fire blast at people that seems to have long range and strength. His Smash
Attack is the same from Melee. He is also confirmed to have the Following
Attacks: Fireball(B), Cape(B over), and Mario Tornado(B Down).
Link
Link has been in both Melee and the original smash, and he is
returning once again in Brawl. His brawl attack will most likely
be an attack that traps the opponent between two triforces
and slashes them repeatedly. The only B attacks that
we know of is his Bow and his Spin Attack B+Up.
Kirby
Kirby will most likely be able to copy other player’s
abilities, but it hasn’t been confirmed. The B attacks that
are confirmed are his B+up Final Cutter, Stone Smash(B+Down),
and Hammer(B+over). His Brawl attack involves him putting on a chef hat,
grabbing a hugepot, and boiling a player in it. He appears to be
lightweight and have a great jump like in the past games.
Samus
Samus does not have much current info at this time or point,
but her counter part, Zero Suit Samus, has been included in the
game, and it is unknown how she becomes Zero Suit Samus, But we
do know that she is linked to Zero Suit Samus. She uses a huge charge
beam that covers a lot of distance in the trailer and them becomes Zero
Suit Samus, so this might be a brawl attack of some sort.
Pikachu
Pikachu is yet another playable character
who is in all SSB games. He seems to be not much
different than all of the other Pikachu’s in the past SSB games.
Currently, his Brawl move is unknown. Quick Attack(B+up),
and Thunder Jolt(B) are both confirmed moves.
Meta Knight
The first newcomer announced, Meta Knight is from the Kirby
games and has the same symbol as Kirby, a warp star. He has
multiple jumps similar to Kirby and Jigglypuff, and uses very
rapid and swift attacks. As well as that, he can glide forward
left or right while falling down.
Zero Suit Samus
Very similar to Samus, Zero Suit Samus(often known as ZSS) is
much more faster and acrobatic than Samus. She uses a whip sort of
weapon that can be made into a gun. Her brawl attack is currently unknown.
Wario
Wario seems to be a heavy weight character and has slow reflex times.
His brawl attack is the Wario Waft, shown in the first trailer.
Pit
Pit’s weapon is a bow that he can break in two and use
as double swords. He also has multiple jumps, and has at least
three. His attacks are rapid and quick as we know so far…
Fox
Fox was briefly seen in the second trailer, and he holds a gun
throughout all of his battling. Not much is known about him, though,
since he has only been briefly seen.
Snake
Snake mainly fights with his feet and fists, and is relatively
good at combo’ing enemies. He also has a bazooka he can fight
with. He seems to be relatively heavy weight. He will be using a
cardboard box, and will be uses explosives.
There are a shitload more characters this time round though.
